Case Study - Executive Search - CMO & US


Research Partners was asked to support a global eCommerce market place with an executive search mandate. We were tasked with finding a Chief Marketing Officer (global), as the incumbent had recently left the business. This was an absolutely critical C level hire for the business. Our role was to find an inspirational, transformative and customer centric marketing leader. We searched primarily in the USA and the UK using classic executive search methodologies to identify and engage leading marketing executives in this specific market segment.

We worked closely with our client to produce the correct messaging to target and attract top marketeers. Throughout the search, we provided regular weekly updates, market feedback and detailed search statistics. We were able to build a talent pool of 70 top tier candidates that met our clients’ requirements, we shortlisted 8 candidates, which resulted in 1 hire.

We tapped into our growing relationships for referrals, industry insight and sourcing around best outreach approach into this particular technology segment and region.

Since search campaigns in the online / commerce segment are such a large part of our business with approximately 30% of projects, we were able to utilise our significant experience to capture leading marketing executives in this industry segment.
